About ADAO

What is ADAO?

— "A Unique Asbestos Victims' Organization"

In 2004, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) was founded by asbestos victims and their families. ADAO seeks to give asbestos victims and concerned citizens a united voice to help ensure their rights are fairly represented and protected, while raising public awareness about the dangers of asbestos exposure and often deadly asbestos related diseases. ADAO is an independent organization funded through voluntary contributions and staffed by volunteers.

What Does ADAO Do?

  • Represents victims with all forms of asbestos related diseases - malignant and benign - including: Asbestosis, Lung Cancer, and Mesothelioma
  • Globally unites victims (patients, families and friends) and concerned citizens
  • Proposed Senate Resolution 448 designating April 1, 2005, as National Asbestos Awareness Day
  • Founded the proactive ADAO Coalition for Asbestos Awareness
  • Committed to asbestos awareness, education, prevention and a cure
  • Funded without donations from trial attorneys
  • Independent resource for the press, Congress and medical community
