2010 Sponsorship Opportunities

Asbestos Awareness Conference Mission

The 6th Annual Asbestos Awareness Conference brings together expert conference speakers from the United States, England, Brazil, and Canada who will present up-to-date information and lead discussions regarding the prevention, detection, and treatment of asbestos-related diseases, patient/family resources, and global advocacy. The conference is made possible with the support and collaborative efforts of the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and the International Ban Asbestos Secretariat (IBAS). Support for the conference benefits the work of the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization.

 About Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization

Founded in 2004 by families and victims of asbestos, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) seeks to unite asbestos victims and concerned citizens as one voice to raise public awareness about the dangers of asbestos exposure and asbestos-related diseases and support research through legislation and advocacy.

Since inception, ADAO has united thousands of patients, scientists, industrial hygienists, political leaders, and advocates; served as Congressional witness; produced cutting edge educational resources such as an asbestos video library, trilingual materials focused on early detection, prevention, and high risk occupations; and managed consumer product testing.
