This Monday, May 28th, the United States will celebrate Memorial Day, a time to remember veterans of our armed forces who gave their lives to defend our country. These brave men and women gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms of Americans back home. The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization would like to invite everyone to light a candle on Monday to honor the memory of those no longer with us. We are all connected to someone who has lost their life fighting for our country: a grandparent, parent, brother, sister, husband, wife, or friend. It is important that we remember the sacrifices they made.

In honor of Memorial Day, ADAO would like to share with you some of the brave veterans who served and lost their lives to mesothelioma and asbestos-related disease, including: Steve McQueen, Ron Cyrus, and Admiral Elmo Zumwalt, the youngest man to serve as Chief Officer of Naval Operations. These brave men are only three of the many veterans who served their country and lost their lives to asbestos, a foe they could neither see, nor fight. As we light candles to remember those we have lost, we can only hope that each year fewer brave men and women have their lives taken from them prematurely. Click here to light a candle online.

In unity,

Linda
