I have just returned from Florida where I said my goodbyes to my dear friend, Larry Davis. Larry was a huge presence and inspiration in our community and I know the entire ADAO community shares Larry’s loss with his family. His family express how grateful they were for all of the heartfelt messages and support you’ve shared.

The loss of Larry to mesothelioma, an entirely preventable and senseless disease, reinforces why we continue our fight for a global asbestos ban.  We stand united and continue to fight because we understand asbestos is about loss – personal and collective. It devastates victims, families and communities, and ADAO will continue to seek to prevent this senseless destruction from occurring to others.

All of us at ADAO send our deepest sympathy to Larry’s family and friends, and we are grieving with you. Larry was truly a remarkable man who inspired us, and will continue to inspire us to fight on.

Next week I will be in Washington, D.C., taking part in the important MARF Symposium and I look forward to seeing those of you who are attending.  If you are unable to attend, there is live streaming available at http://www.curemeso.org/site/c.kkLUJ7MPKtH/b.8016831/k.456A/Symposium_2012_Live_Stream.htm

As I am drying my tears, I am looking into our future, for Alan, Larry, and all of us. To a world where there is a complete and total ban of asbestos and no one has to know the pain so many of us have felt.

Together, change is possible.

In unity,

Linda
