Stephen Embry and Linda Reinstein, Chicago, IL

ADAO was thrilled to have the opportunity to speak at and attend the 40th Anniversary of the National Commission on State Workmen’s Compensation Laws hosted by the well-respected Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG). ADAO was honored to provide a face and a voice to the victims of occupational diseases in our presentation, “Asbestos: The Cost in Dollars and Lives”.

The Anniversary Symposium was held in Chicago, Illinois and included many illustrious speakers who shed light on the history and current challenges of workers’ compensation and worker’s rights. The Symposium served to advocate for workers’ rights, as well as provided invaluable educational resources.

The Symposium offered ADAO the opportunity to share our community’s experiences with asbestos and the diseases it causes, expand our community and develop new partnerships in prevention of asbestos-caused diseases.

Watch a presentation on the history of workers’ compensation laws in the U.S.

You can view photos from the Symposium.

In unity,

Linda
