2013 Rahe Diamond Donor resizedPosted on March 13, 2013

ADAO is honored and profoundly grateful to the Rahe Family for their 2013 ADAO Diamond level gift in loving memory of Bob Rahe, who lost his courageous mesothelioma battle in 2008.  The Rahe family hosted the 2011 Tee Off for Bob Rahe and Fight Mesothelioma golf tournament fundraiser in Omaha, Nebraska and has designated these funds to support ADAO’s work of advocating for a U.S. asbestos ban and promoting a cure for mesothelioma.

With their generous gift, the Rahe family is sponsoring ADAO’s pre-conference Patient and Family Lunch and U.S. Capitol Tour on Friday, March 22.  ADAO looks forward to recognizing the Rahe family and their commitment to eliminating asbestos disease during our Awards & Recognition Dinner on Saturday, March 23.

Bob Rahe is best remembered by those who knew him for his sense of humor, love for his son, and passion for sports, especially horseracing. His strength and determination was largely responsible for allowing him to maneuver his nearly 11-year battle with mesothelioma. ADAO joins Bob’s family and friends in honoring his memory.
