On behalf oWhat a PHENOMENAL Global #Asbestosf everyone at The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO), thank you to all those who participated in Global Asbestos Awareness Week (GAAW)! This year we saw our largest and most powerful asbestos awareness force ever comprised of health organizations, businesses, government health agencies, Mesothelioma Warriors, and interested persons all over the globe!

Through ADAO’s new “Hear Asbestos. Think Prevention.” Campaign, featuring essential asbestos prevention materials, coupled with your dedicated efforts, Global Asbestos Awareness Week truly set a new precedent in asbestos prevention. We saw everything from organizations retweeting important #GAAW educational information to their followers, invitations to feature ADAO guest blogs on others’ websites, and individuals re-purposing information into powerful social media posts and graphics in their own voice. Whether you’re a large organization or an interested individual, your collaborative action was the spark behind GAAW. Together we spread important information on 1) preventing asbestos exposure 2) what to do after exposure 3) educating the global public about how harmful asbestos really is.
