ADAO Honored to Present at 143rd American Public Health Association’s Annual Meeting

President Linda Reinstein to Discuss “Asbestos Public Health Campaigns and Disease Prevention Movements in the 21st Century” as Part of a Renowned Panel of Global Public Health Experts

ADAO Press ReleaseWashington DC – October 29, 2015 – The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO), which serves as a global leader in ending asbestos exposure through education, advocacy, and community, today announced that ADAO will join leading public health professionals at the 143rd American Public Health Association’s Annual Meeting and Exposition in Chicago, Illinois from November 1 – 4.

On November 4th, ADAO President and Co-founder Linda Reinstein will join a renowned panel of experts during a comprehensive session focused on New approaches to identifying and addressing health hazards. Ms. Reinstein’s presentation, Asbestos Public Health Campaigns and Disease Prevention Movements in the 21st Century, will examine 21st century national and international public health campaigns, highlighting health and safety campaigns in the USA, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Turkey. The session will enlighten attendees on new awareness and risk management trends in civil society, the private sector, and government. Using organizational experience, ADAO will also discuss cost-effective media strategies for coordinating successful educational, advocacy, and community public health campaigns that centralize educational information and resources, transition from one-sided messaging to public interaction, and empower workers and businesses to increase safety and compliance.
