Meet Charles Perea whose father, Johnny, passed away from mesothelioma. Dedicated to prevention, Charles has done great educational work and is also the ADAO State Leadership Representative for New Mexico.
Education starts with you.
Every Warrior has an important story to share. Please take a minute and read Johnny’s story: “Ensuring Future Generations Are No Longer Ignorant About Asbestos.”
The Johnny O. Perea Foundation for Asbestos Education & Relief has an excellent free class, “Living With Asbestos,” targeting youth to ensure they are knowledgable about the danger of asbestos awareness and how to prevent exposure.
The Johnny O. Perea Foundation (JOPF) is a non-profit 501©3 established in 2006, dedicated to educating residents and students about asbestos. Our “Living With Asbestos” lesson is designed to provide information and prevent exposures resulting in a decrease in cancers caused-linked to asbestos. For more information, visit the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) for a list of JOPF’s presentations.
Together, we make change happen.
