The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) is thrilled to announce the launch of our 12th Annual International Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference, “Where Knowledge and Action Unite” on April 8 – 10, 2016 in Washington, D.C.
ADAO is unique since we are the only U.S. non-profit organized conference dedicated solely to preventing asbestos exposure and eliminating asbestos-caused diseases. Since 2005, our conferences have successfully brought together experts, victims, unions, and lawmakers to support our joint efforts in education, advocacy, and awareness.
Over the last twelve years, we’ve hosted nearly 300 speakers from 14 countries, including U.S. Acting Surgeon General Boris Lushniak. We’ve recognized almost 70 individuals and organizations with ADAO’s prestigious awards, championed 11 U.S. Senate Asbestos Awareness Week Resolutions, and secured 4 U.S. Surgeon General Warning Statements.
If you haven’t been to an ADAO conference before, this is the one not to miss! More than 30 renowned experts and asbestos victims from 10 countries will present the latest advancements in disease prevention, global advocacy, and treatment for mesothelioma and other asbestos-caused diseases. Patients and families will also have an opportunity to look back at our accomplishments over the past 12 years in unity to end the preventable man-made asbestos disaster.
This year ADAO will feature 4 cutting–edge conference sessions that include:
