3rd Michael's Mission to Strike Out Meso CANVAThe Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization is pleased to support the 3rd Annual Michael’s Mission to Strike Out Mesothelioma 5k honoring the memory of Mesothelioma Warrior, Michael Bradley.

When Michael heard his mesothelioma diagnosis he knew through sharing his story he could help raise awareness and never looked back. In 2014, Michael received the ADAO Special Recognition of Valor Award for his extraordinary commitment to banning asbestos and  finding a cure.  Michael lost his courageous mesothelioma battle at the age of 29.

His mother, Sandra, has also been an avid supporter of ADAO and dedicated to spreading asbestos awareness. Since Michael’s passing, she has shared his story all over the world speaking at Congressional staff briefings as well as at ADAO’s 11th Annual International Asbestos Awareness Conference in Washington, D.C.

The purpose of “Michael’s Mission to Strike Out Mesothelioma” 5k is to continue fighting where Michael left off by raising awareness and funds prevent exposure and find a cure.  In Michael’s words “Asbestos is deadly, it does not think it just kills.”

The event will take place on April 23, 2016 in Varnell Georgia at 12 pm, rain or shine. The cost is $20.00 for pre-registered participants and $25.00 to register the day of the event. There will be food, refreshments, raffles, and live music. Michael’s family invites everyone and anyone to come out and support them while listening to the Christian music bands and enjoying a BBQ sandwich.

Please join ADAO in remembering Michael and supporting his family’s event!  You can make a donation by clicking here. Proceeds will benefit ADAO and MARF.

Together, we make change happen.
