On your mark, get set and GO mark your calendars for the 2017 Miles for Meso fundraiser, taking place in Alton, IL on September 30.

The Miles for Meso weekend will kick off on Friday night before the race, with our annual community dinner at Gentelin’s. Race day on Saturday is chock full of of awareness raising fun with family-friendly activities in addition to the race and fun run, including a performance by Jordan Zevon.

This yearly event is one of the highlights of the year for our Mesothelioma Warrior community. It brings folks together in a fun, healthy way, and even creates ways for to connect digitally for those who can’t make it to the race in person. And, of course, it raises mesothelioma awareness and funds for the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO).

This is the 9th year that ADAO Platinum Sponsor Simmons, Hanly, Conroy LLC will be putting on this fabulous event, which raised a record $40,000 for asbestos awareness and education last year. We’re expecting around 1,000 people to attend the physical race in Alton, but many more will participate via our Virtual Race and Tribute Bib programs.

Registration for this year’s Miles for Meso race will open on July 8, so be sure to keep an eye out for that link soon, along with more details on our Virtual Race and community dinner.

Save the date for September and start stretching those muscles!
