With your support, on December 7, the message blast of #Asbestos kills 15K Americans yearly, yet the EPA allows imports to continue Congress – #BanAsbestosNow had a social reach of nearly 1.2 million. Because of your efforts, people around the world were able to learn, share, and continue the social movement to ban asbestos.

It is reprehensible that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) continues to allow asbestos imports into our country when the scientific evidence confirms asbestos is a carcinogen and there is no safe or controlled use. The Chlor-Alkali Industry is the largest asbestos importer and user in the United States. 

Now that our first campaign is over, watch for details in January about our next social action focused on the Ban Asbestos in the US Now, Without Loopholes or Exemptions petition directed to the EPA.

Together, change is possible.
