ADAO would like to introduce Gen, a mesowarrior who lost her mother five short years ago. This year, Gen has decided to run in the Southampton Marathon in London, United Kingdom in honor of her mother, and all those who have fought and are still fighting the battle against Mesothelioma.

As most of you know, Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer that is caused solely by exposure to asbestos. The important thing to note about Mesothelioma is that it is 100% preventable.

Gen says, “I wanted to make the challenge not only mean something to me as a physical achievement but also raise some money for a fantastic charity that is making the world of difference to Mesothelioma sufferers and their families.”

We encourage you to join ADAO in congratulating and cheering Gen on as she takes part in this race and honors all of the incredible mesowarriors, both past and present.

Follow the conversation on twitter by following Gen’s twitter hashtag: #peopleofmesothelioma and support Gen and Mesothelioma UK.

Gen, as a former marathoner, I’m so PROUD of you.
