I can hardly believe it’s already November. This year has been trying on us in so many ways, but I am grateful for those of you in the ADAO community who have worked alongside us to ban asbestos.

As we focus on our core work of education, advocacy, and community to prevent asbestos exposure to eliminate all asbestos-caused diseases, ADAO has always worked leanly and spends only 8% on operating expenses. Our accomplishment are no less and utterly amazing proving collective activism is powerful and productive as seen in our  2018 Year in Review

Later this month, the nonprofit world recognizes Giving Tuesday, on November 27. It follows retail holidays like Black Friday and Cyber Monday and it is one day you’ll hear a lot about from any charities you may support. It kicks off the holiday giving period.

The truth is we are a very small organization and we don’t spend much time fundraising because it takes time away from the important advocacy work we must do, but without fundraising, we can’t do that work. That’s why we need you today, and the entire holiday season.

We rely on your generous contributions to do the work we know must be done to end the scourge of mesothelioma and asbestos-related diseases. With your support, we work with other environmental groups, members of Congress, state governments and world health leaders to make them understand there is no safe or controlled use of asbestos and to push our government to finally do the right thing and ban this dangerous, toxic substance.

I hope you’ll join us in that fight again this year. You can donate on behalf of yourself, or a loved one. You can honor the Mesothelioma Warrior in your life.

When you make a donation in their name, you honor their legacy and give an invaluable gift to asbestos victims across the globe whom ADAO diligently fights to protect and support.

As an independent nonprofit, ADAO relies entirely on generous generous donation like yours to do the work we do and we need your help.

Please join us and become an ADAO donor this holiday season.

Together, change is possible.
