The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO), Walk to Remember Victims of Asbestos, Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers (OHCOW), and Victims Chemical Valley present a two-day event honoring the victims of asbestos in Sarnia and around the world.
September 30: Candlelight Vigil for Victims of Asbestos – 6:30 PM EST. On this day, we will honor those fighting the courageous battle against asbestos-related diseases and remember those who have lost their battle. If you cannot be present in Sarnia, you can still join the community by lighting a candle in your home or by lighting a virtual candle online. Facebook Event Details
October 1: Walk For Victims of Asbestos – 10:00 AM EST. Residents and visitors to Sarnia will turn their anger into action with a walk to honor those affected by asbestos-caused diseases and protest the continued mining and exportation of asbestos in Canada and around the world.
