The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) supports efforts to raise awareness about the dangers of exposure to asbestos at work. The asbestos-related diseases that affect today’s former plumbers, electricians, joiners, tradesmen, and construction workers are the result of exposure at work decades ago. It is vitally important for workers to understand the dangers they face in their daily work. Since 2008, HSE’s Hidden Killer Campaign has successfully been raising awareness of the issue by partnering with stakeholders, trade unions, worker’s representative bodies, and through a multi-channel marketing campaign. For more information on the dangers of asbestos at work and how you can protect yourself, read our case study and visit our Hidden Killer microsite.” – Health and Safety Executive
