CBC article: “Quebec government loan to aid asbestos mine”
Bernard Coulombe, President of the Jeffrey Asbestos Mine, held a press conference today announcing the Canadian government’s funding for the Jeffrey chrysotile asbestos mine. Asbestos is a known human carcinogen and there is no safe level of exposure.
What a deadly game! According to reports, the paperwork for the $58-million loan was finalized in early June and Coulombe was only waiting for the final authorization. Baljit Chada, President of Balcorp Limited, has spent nearly two years trying to revive the Quebec asbestos industry to mine and export deadly chrysotile asbestos to India, USA, and other countries.
