Canadian Mesothelioma FoudationThe Canadian Mesothelioma Foundation (CMF), “Working Together to Respond to Mesothelioma,” conference will be held on April 2, 2014 in Toronto during Global Asbestos Awareness Week.

The conference will provide an opportunity for patients, families and others affected by mesothelioma to meet and strengthen their mutual support. It will also focus on issues of particular concern, including patient/family compensation, promising developments in mesothelioma detection and treatment, and the development of a mesothelioma health care network across Canada.  An afternoon strategy session will also be held on ways to advance these objectives and to prevent asbestos exposure.

I am delighted to present an “International Update: The Global Asbestos Struggle and the Importance of Collaboration” via Skype.

CMF will recognize Stacy Cattran, Leah Neilsen, Jackie Coulbeck, Martin Mittelstaedt, and Kathleen Mullen for their accomplishments raising asbestos awareness.
