1The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) is delighted to once again participate in a Unite for Sight (UFS) Environmental Toxins and Human Health” webinar on August 31 at 4:00 pm ET.

As Unite for Sight wrote,

“Learn from leading experts about environmental toxins and human health. The webinar will include guidance and advice from five panelists, as well as ample opportunity to ask the speakers questions.  Gain insight about historical and current environmental concerns, needs, and solutions.  For example, how did lead become such a significant and ongoing struggle?  What should be learned from lead’s history to avoid future similar issues with chemicals that might be considered safe today?”

Webinar panelists include:

  • Michael Green, CEO, Center for Environmental Health
  • Nneka Leiba, Director of Research, Environmental Working Group
  • Gerald Markowitz, Professor of History, John Jay College and Graduate Center, CUNY
  • Linda Reinstein, President and CEO, Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization
  • Moderated by Jennifer Staple-Clark, Founder and CEO, Unite For Sight

In 2015, ADAO joined Unite for Sight’s panel for the “Research and Advocacy Initiatives to Reduce the Health Impacts of Environmental Contaminants” Webinar. To learn more about the Global Health University and access their free educational materials click here.
