Heather’s 11th LLD Celebration. Linda, Heather, and Beth Ann
Heather Von St. James, inspirational Mesothelioma Warrior, friend, and ADAO supporter, hosted the 11th Annual Lungleavin’ Day Celebration on February 4! The event, which she and her family have coordinated over the last 11 years, since she was diagnosed and underwent surgery for pleural mesothelioma.
More than 50 people gathered to raise asbestos and mesothelioma awareness and funds for ADAO and MARF.
As Heather shares, “The tradition is to take a plate, and on said plate, you write your fears, obstacles, or anything that is holding you back. Then you take your plate into our back yard where my husband Cameron has a huge bonfire roaring in the fire pit. Take your plate, and smash it in the fire… along with your fears. It is a very cathartic release!”
