The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) is thrilled to be attending the 22nd Annual Professional Abatement Contractors of New York (PACNY)  from February 28 – March 2, 2018. PACNY, a renowned community for abatement contractors in Albany, NY., focuses their efforts on addressing the needs and concerns of abatement contractors and those in related industries. Abatement contractors are absolutely crucial in the fight against asbestos as they serve on the front-line of disease prevention efforts removing hazardous substances from homes and buildings. ADAO applauds PACNY for their powerful efforts uniting the voices and intelligence of the abatement industry and creating strength in numbers. This year’s conference takes place in Verona, NY.

At the 22nd Annual PACNY Environmental Conference, I am pleased to be delivering the morning keynote speech, “Mitigating Asbestos Exposure in the 21st Century.” In this speech, I will be sharing the latest updates in asbestos-related policy, advocacy, and education, reviewing the Top 10 Asbestos Facts, and discussing the harsh reality that hundreds of thousands have died, or are currently dying, from asbestos exposure.

I am honored to be included among these esteemed guests:

Michael Misenhimer of NESCA: “The Fight to Get Paid – Practical Strategies for Subcontractors”

Richard Clarkson of the NYS DEC: “Part 360 Revisions and Solid Waste Regulations”

Tom Stebbins of LRANY: “Asbestos Litigation”

Adam Schrader of Ecospect: “Interior drainage and Radon mitigation”

Bob Krell – IAQ Technologies & Healthy Indoors Magazine: “Avoiding Potential Pitfalls of Mold Investigations and Remediation Projects”

Peter DeLucia – AAC: “Managing the Many Facets of the Silica in Construction Standard”

Stay tuned for more information on PACNY’s conference and my presentation!

Together, change is possible.
