Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization Legislative Positions (June 2015)

Thank you all for your heartfelt stories. We at ADAO know that these are not easy to write, let alone share with others. As of today, nearly 150 stories from 38 states and 8 nations around the globe have been contributed in solidarity and support in order to make a change. And that change is coming. ADAO is preparing to compile these stories in order to inform legislators in Washington D.C as well as policy makers and influencers worldwide so that our voices are heard even louder than before. With the help of your stories we spoke internationally at the London Hazards Centre’s Mesothelioma Action Day this month. Yet even more powerfully, we will be holding our 8th congressional briefing in Washington, D.C. from July 14th-16th, using your stories as proof of the deadly impact that Asbestos has had in this nation.

As we continue the fight against asbestos consumption in the US, our international support continues to be invaluable to our global fight as well. All of the amazing, heartfelt, and inspirational stories can be found here. The support, honesty, and emotions that you have provided have allowed us to further pursue our goal of banning Asbestos worldwide.
