XIX World Congress on Safety and Health at Work Has Begun!
Greetings from Turkey, where I am thrilled to be attending the XIX World Congress on Safety and Health at Work! It is an absolute pleasure to have been invited to join forces with some of the biggest names and most knowledgeable experts in the field of occupational safety and health in an effort to exchange information and brainstorm as to how to protect workers worldwide. This meeting, which occurs every three years, is a critical international effort to prevent occupational injury and disease and a meaningful first step in the effort to collaborate, communicate, and take action with like-minded forces around the world. As we all know, together we can make a difference.
At the Congress, I have been asked to share how ADAO has been and others can be using social media and technology to disseminate public health information efficiently and to the farthest corners of the world. Current data has shown that 50% of the world’s population is under the age of 30
While ADAO works on behalf of the thousands of people affected by asbestos and other deadly occupational threats around the world, our DAO tradition continues, I will be dedicating this particular speech to Janelle, who is battling mesothelioma and it just 35. We at ADAO and in our communities stand behind her.
World Congress details, videos, and photos coming soon!
