On behalf of the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO), we are sending our support to you on your upcoming mission to raise asbestos awareness and fund research. You are undertaking a remarkable challenge, and I know that you will find the strength to complete it based on how strong you are everyday in confronting your own personal battle with asbestosis. You are my hero!
When you begin your ride on November 21 in your wheelchair from Toowoomba to Brisbane, those 123 km will be shared with your fans around the world. And when you celebrate crossing the finish line on November 25 and somberly join asbestos victims and Queensland Asbestos Related Disease Support Society supporters at the Ecumenical Service for those who lost their lives from asbestos-caused disease know I am with you in spirit and remembrance.
From everyone at ADAO and those around the world, we thank you, Ray, for doing such a courageous ride and wish you the best of luck your gallant asbestos awareness raising efforts!
With sincerity and admiration,
