Army (Archerd) worked at “Variety” officially more than 50 years. In the way that Army helped put a face to AIDS with Rock Hudson, I hope that Army can put a face to (asbestos disease) and that something will be done.

— Timothy M. Gray, Variety Editor

Today, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) pays tribute to legendary Hollywood reporter Army Archerd whose life was tragically cut short by mesothelioma.  In 2012, Army Archerd was remembered with the ADAO “Warren Zevon Keep Me in Your Heart Tribute Award.”

Please visit the ADAO Interviews playlist this week, as we honor different members of our ADAO community whose lives were affected by mesothelioma.

Together, change is possible.
