2015 Mesothelioma Warrior Memorial FACEBOOK CANVA (1)The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) finalized our 2015 Mesothelioma Warrior Memorial Video. This year, we have nearly 160 dedications, reflecting the power of unity, community, and hope. The stories told from mesothelioma patients, their families, and their loved ones humbled us, broke our hearts, gave us hope, and motivated us with an unstoppable fervor to keep fighting.

As we join together for Mesothelioma Awareness Day on September 26th to raise awareness and action, we remember and honor those who have lost their lives to mesothelioma. Our video represents the vast range of ages and backgrounds of those who are affected by mesothelioma each year all over the world. From age 29 to age 105, the victims we honor come from seven countries including Australia, Canada, Italy, Korea, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s Mesothelioma Warrior Memorial Video, and we want to especially thank ADAO National Spokesperson, Jordan Zevon, for allowing us to feature Warren Zevon’s Grammy Award winning song “Keep Me in Your Heart”.  In 2003, Warren passed away from mesothelioma.

If you would like add a loved one’s name to the 2016Mesothelioma Warrior Memorial video or to share your story in the future,  please submit your story via this online form.   Your stories are featured on our website, in monthly eNewsletters, and shared with policymakers around the world.

Joined by a common bond and shared goal, The Mesothelioma Warrior community epitomizes the old Chinese Proverb, “Out of the hottest fire comes the strongest steel.” Together, we are galvanized to end the asbestos man-made disaster. When the sun sets on September 26th, our work for Mesothelioma Warriors of today and the future will continue. Our fight cannot stop until we #ENDMeso.
