For our 2017 conference, we’ve made a fun change to our Friday night schedule! We typically hold a private tour and dinner for speakers and honorees, but this year we’re rounding up the whole crew and hitting the river for a majestic dinner cruise down the Potomac.

We’ve worked harder than ever in 2016, and we’ve truly moved mountains — from the passage of TSCA and President Obama becoming the first sitting president to acknowledge asbestos as a carcinogen, to securing priority status for asbestos risk evaluation and regulation by the U.S. EPA. For all of this, we DESERVE to celebrate as a community!

king-street-blues This floating party, complete with a delicious BBQ dinner catered by the locally renowned King Street Blues (and, of course, your favorite wine and beer!), is just what we need. We hope it will provide the perfect casual get-together to get to know each other ahead of our conference on Saturday.

Please join us Friday, April 7, at 5 pm in the lobby of the conference hotel for an unforgettable Friday night to kick off what promises to be ADAO’s best conference yet!

Potomac Dinner Cruise Details

Schedule: Friday, April 7, 5:00 – 9:00 PM

  • 5:00 pm: Meet in the lobby of the  Renaissance Arlington Capital View
  • 5:15 pm Board the bus to the Alexandria City Marina
  • 6:30 pm Board the Miss Christin
    • Enjoy a BBQ dinner on the water!
  • 9:00 Return to the Marriott

Sailing route: South towards George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate

  • BBQ Pulled Chicken and Pork served with Dinner Rolls
