As Mesothelioma Awareness Month comes to a close, ADAO is looking forward to sharing information on asbestos disease and prevention for October’s Health Literacy Month.

The ADAO four-part awareness and prevention blog series will begin on Monday, October 3rd and present information that is easy to understand and even easier to share. Asbestos remains legal and lethal in the USA. Each year, over 40,000 Americans die from preventable asbestos-caused diseases, and imports have risen significantly. ADAO remains dedicated to increasing health literacy to prevent exposure and improve treatment options.

Asbestos Disease Awareness and Prevention Four-Part Series includes:

October 3rd — Part One: Prevent Asbestos Exposure

October 10th — Part Two: Recognize High Risk Occupations

October 17th — Part Three: Understand the Warning Symptoms for Asbestos-Caused Diseases

October 24th — Part Four: Finding a Center of Excellence for Treatment

As we say at ADAO, “Hear Asbestos. Think Prevention.” Thank you for joining us and sharing this life-saving information during Health Literacy Month.
