Happy Holidays! What an impactful year 2022 has been for the ADAO community. Please join me in reflecting on some of the accomplishments we’ve made together this year and thanking our incredible ADAO partners and supporters.

A huge thank you to our donors and sponsors who generously supported our educational, advocacy, and community efforts. Thanks to our Platinum Sponsor, Simmons Hanly Conroy, LLC; Gold Sponsor, The Gori Law Firm; and Silver Sponsors, Bailey & Glasser LLP and Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney Meisenkothen, we were able to make our 17th Annual International Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Virtual Conference free and available to all through online streaming, greatly increasing access to new attendees and supporters. Another huge thank you to all our powerhouse Congressional Staff Briefing speakers.

Thank you to ADAO leadership, volunteers, and interns, who have gallantly led the way for our work to be completed this last year.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our Global Asbestos Awareness Week Partners for Prevention: Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), Occupational Safety and Health Africa Foundation (OSHAfrica), Environmental Information Association (EIA), The Mavis Nye Foundation, and Associacao Brasilera dos Espostos ao Amianto Foundation (ABREA), for their continued support in education and prevention campaigns.

Last, but certainly not least, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Alan Reinstein Ban Asbestos Now Act sponsors Sen. Jeff Merkley and Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, congressional champions and supporting stakeholders who will focus on ARBAN during the Lame Duck session.

Thank you to all who made 2022 possible! We can’t wait for 2023, we hope it will be a blockbuster year for the ADAO community and public health!

Together, we make change happen.
