2025 AAPC Program

SeADAO Proudly Presents Our 158-Page Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference Program!

The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) proudly presents the 20th Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference 158-page program, celebrating two decades of dedication to protecting communities from asbestos-related harm.

This year’s gathering, themed “Building on Dr. Selikoff’s Legacy in Asbestos Science, Prevention & Justice,” will be held on September 12–13, 2025, in New York City. The conference will unite leading experts, survivors, artists, and advocates from around the world, all working together to advance prevention, policy, and public awareness of asbestos exposure and its lasting impact.

Inside the program, you will find:

  • A complete agenda with speaker bios, honorees, and presentations
  • Memorial tributes and community stories
  • New ADAO resources and upcoming events
  • Recognition of our sponsors
  • Six new letters of support from:
    • Senator Jeffrey Merkley
    • Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici
    • Congressman Don Bacon
    • The Collegium Ramazzini (Dr. Melissa McDiarmid, President)
    • Edward A. Kelly, General President, International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF)
  • Kenneth T. Lane, CEO, Olin Corporation

Nearly 40 distinguished speakers will address critical topics about asbestos, its dangers, causes, and global impact, while exploring advances in science, prevention strategies, legal accountability, and the personal stories that continue to inspire action.

This year’s gathering holds special significance as it falls on the day after the anniversary of 9/11. The tragic events of September 11 not only claimed thousands of lives but also exposed countless individuals, including first responders and survivors, to toxic dust filled with asbestos fibers. Many are still battling the health consequences today. Holding this conference during Mesothelioma Awareness Month reinforces the urgent need for continued education, prevention, and policy change to protect future generations.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our volunteers, the Science and Prevention Advisory Boards, and the ADAO leadership for their tireless efforts. A special thank-you goes to our sponsors:

Platinum Sponsors: Dean Omar Branham Shirley, LLP, and Simmons Hanly Conroy, LLP
Gold Sponsors: The Gori Law Firm and Motley Rice LLC
Silver Sponsor: Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney & Meisenkothen Law Firm

Your generous support is the backbone of our education, advocacy, and community-building efforts. Together, we are driving change and forging a path toward a future free of asbestos.

Join us for this milestone event! There’s still time to be part of the movement. Register now and help us build a future without asbestos.

With gratitude,

Linda Reinstein
