Learn more: Miles for Meso

It’s time to lace up for a cause! Join ADAO for the 18th Annual Alton Miles for Meso on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Alton, Illinois.

This year’s theme, Let the Good Times Run, celebrates the spirit of jazz, which brings people together through resilience, community, and hope. Every step, every cheer, and every mile helps amplify awareness and support families impacted by mesothelioma while moving us closer to a future free from asbestos-related disease.

Whether you run, walk, or participate virtually from anywhere in the world, every mile you complete helps raise awareness and support the fight against mesothelioma and asbestos-related diseases.

For 18 years, Miles for Meso has united patients, families, caregivers, advocates, and supporters around a shared mission: honoring those affected by mesothelioma while advancing prevention, education, and hope. Over the years, the Miles for Meso events have taken place in 11 states and counting nationwide, with walkers and runners covering more than 40,000 miles in support of the mesothelioma community. Together, these events have raised more than $977,500 for mesothelioma charities.  Since 2014, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) has proudly been the designated beneficiary of the event, and every registration and donation helps strengthen our work to prevent asbestos exposure through education, advocacy, and public policy.

Hosted by ADAO’s longtime distinguished Platinum Sponsor, Simmons Hanly Conroy, and coordinated by the Metro Tri Club, this inspiring event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. Whether you join us in Alton or complete the race in your own neighborhood, you’ll be part of a community united by action.

Every registered participant, including virtual participants, will receive an official Miles for Meso long-sleeve performance shirt, commemorative medal, and race bag. On race day, wear your race shirt, share your photos, and help spread awareness by using #MilesForMeso on social media.

Every step honors someone. Every mile raises awareness. Every participant moves us closer to a future free from asbestos-related disease.

Register today, join Team ADAO, and help turn every mile into meaningful action. Register today and save $10. Early registration ends on August 23rd.

We can’t wait to see you at the starting line.
