We are getting close to the Alton Miles for Meso Race and fundraiser event! There are 3 simple things you can do to join the community, raise awareness, and support ADAO.

  • TRIBUTE BIBS:

We are finalizing the tribute bibs for the 2020 Alton Miles for Meso (MFM) virtual race on September 26 – October 2. If you have not gotten an email from ADAO and would like to submit a Warriors name, please click the link to complete the GoogleForm so we can include your Warrior in the 2020 tribute bib collage graphic. We plan to include all names submitted last year unless we hear otherwise, so please email us if you would like to have a previously submitted name removed. Blog with details. Names are also being collected through the MFM registration process. They will be shared on the Miles for Meso website via a tribute page and then also on the MFM Facebook page.

It’s so easy — just follow these 4 simple steps. Regular Registration ends on Sept. 16 for $35. Register by Sept.16 to get your shirt by race week, which is: Sept. 26 – Oct 2.

  1. Register for the walk/run race by September 16, 2020 to receive a fabulous race shirt.
  2. Select your donation amount.
  3. Select ADAO BAN ASBESTOS TEAM.
  4. Complete the prompted steps to finalize registration!

Each registrant will receive a goodie bag filled with fun and fabulous swag that has a value of over $40.00. As a racer, you will also receive an Earl Dotter 2020 “Art, Advocacy, and Academia” printed graphic!

You don’t have to be a registered racer to join us. You can donate to the ADAO BAN ASBESTOS TEAM through the registration link.

Late registration is Sept. 17- Oct 2. It’s $40 and registrants will get their shirt when Miles For Meso volunteers mail the finisher medals in mid-October.

Another easy way to help spread awareness is to update your Facebook profile with our new #MilesForMeso profile frame. Updating your profile photo is an easy way to spread awareness about the race and the reason why we’re all running or walking on National Mesothelioma Awareness Day. Anyone can do this, even if they’re not registered. Just go to the Facebook frame page in the below link. Search for “Miles for Meso” and select!

Why is this important? Donations support ADAO’s education, advocacy, and community support efforts to prevent asbestos exposure to eliminate all asbestos-caused diseases.

ADAO is so excited about the 12th Alton Miles for Meso Race and we look forward to you joining us for the virtual race and online!
