HELP On July 31, 2013, the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works will hold a full committee hearing entitled, “Strengthening Public Health Protections by Addressing Toxic Chemical Threats.” The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) has sent a letter to every U.S. Senator urging them to attend the hearing to support Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) reform.

ADAO needs YOUR help – please follow these steps today to encourage your senators to attend the hearing!

  1. Click here to find your two Senator’s DC office phone numbersIt’s easy – using the dropdown box on the top left to sort by states.
  2. Call your Senator using the script below:

Hi,

My name is XX, I’m a resident of XX (state).

I’m calling to make sure that Senator XX’s health and environmental staffers received the invitation from the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) to attend the EPW full committee hearing on July 31st.

The hearing will be held in 406 Dirksen at 9:30 AM. It’s really important to me, as a constituent of XX (state), that Senator XX’s staffers attend this hearing on “Strengthening Public Health Protections by Addressing Toxic Chemical Threats.” My family deserves legislation that protects us from toxic chemicals.

Every voice counts, and every action makes a difference.

In unity,

Linda
