In 2007, I have been working with ADAO and have found our collaborative efforts to increase education in the UK, USA, and internationally to be especially exciting and productive. We published ADAO Editorials in 2007, 2009, and 2010.

The Independent Asbestos Training Providers (IATP) is a “community” of asbestos and H&S (Health and Safety) training providers, connected with charitable groups, unions, governing bodies, and campaigning groups. IATP Members actively engage and educate as many people as possible.

In order to give you a better sense of our work, I am excited to share our latest online eNewsletter, including an editorial piece from ADAO.

The asbestos industry sector is very “insular” in the UK. However, IATP’s “heart and personality” strive to bring the more human side into publications as we profile the situation across the world. Our members connect with victims/sufferers and increase awareness – in fact, the majority of training sessions involve at least one person who knows someone affected by or who has died from an asbestos-related disease.

Take a minute to view the powerful HSE Hidden Killer Campaign, which has been an excellent tool in the UK to advance education.

With the combined efforts of IATP, ADAO, and other like-minded organizations, I know that we can continue to educate and inform the public with the knowledge they need to live long, healthy, happy lives.
