Since 2004, ADAO has become the largest 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the U.S. dedicated to protecting asbestos victims’ civil rights, public health, consumer safety, and the environment. As an independent nonprofit, we rely entirely on the goodwill of our community to maintain and expand our education, advocacy, and community support efforts.

ADAO now has three ways you can support our work as an individual, with the support of your network, or in honor of a loved one. Every contribution ADAO receives goes directly toward our advocacy and educational efforts. During our 16-year history, we have held three White House meetings, testified before the House and Senate seven times, organized and hosted fifteen Congressional Staff briefings, secured six U.S. Surgeon General Asbestos Warning Statements, and held fifteen Annual International Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conferences. We couldn’t have made it this far without the dedication and support of people like you.

Here is how you can help:

Individual Donations

As we open all of these new opportunities for supporters to get involved with ADAO’s work, we continue to welcome your individual contributions. Each and every donation contributes to the success of ADAO and the fight against asbestos and asbestos-related illnesses. We cannot do our work without individual contributions, so please donate. If you’re feeling generous, make a monthly recurring donation to continue to support our cause.

Create a Memorial Fundraiser

Honor your loved one’s legacy with a personal fundraising page hosted on the ADAO website. Create a page with custom photos and stories and share with your network to increase your impact. Donors will also be able to leave personal messages when sharing gifts, allowing you to celebrate the memory of your loved one together. Our own stories are the most powerful tool we have in this fight, and we hope this new platform can help you share yours.

Dedicate a Milestone to ADAO

It’s never been easier to dedicate a special event to a meaningful cause. Whether you’re getting married, celebrating a birthday, completing a marathon, or practicing social corporate responsibility, turn any event into an ADAO fundraiser. Our new donation platform has tailor-made options for every event enabling you to endow your celebration with even more meaning.

Options 2 and 3 allow you to create a donation page and encourage your community to donate along with you. Whether you are remembering a life, celebrating a marriage, fundraising with your coworkers, or using your physical strength to raise money, your network can help you reach your goals.

Here’s how to create a donation page:

  1. Choose the campaign above that best identifies your goals.
  2. Click “Become a Fundraiser”.
  3. Create an account.
  4. Set a fundraising goal.
  5. Add a photo.
  6. Click “Manage” to personalize your fundraising page.
  7. Edit your story so people know why they should donate.
  8. Click “Details” to name the fundraiser and edit your headline so people know who the fundraiser is for.
  9. Send to your network so they can make a single or recurring donation.

Each donor above the giving level of $250 will be listed on the Sponsor Donor page unless otherwise requested.

These donations are for individuals only. If your company or corporation would like to become a sponsor, please contact us.

Together, we can make change possible.
