RSVP for ADAO’s Zoom Lunch with Dr. Arthur Frank

Posted on March 30, 2020

The Asbestos Awareness Disease Organization (ADAO) reminds our community to stay safe and vigilant during the novel coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Arthur L. Frank, MD, PhD our Science Advisory Board Co-Chair, emphasized that any patients diagnosed with asbestos-related illnesses must closely follow the precautions and guidelines set out by the Center for Disease Control.

During this time of fear and confusion, ADAO will be launching Zoom lunch meetings, starting on Friday, April 3. This would have been the first day of our annual International Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference and we had planned on holding meetings on the Hill with Congressional members. However, we postponed the conference out of safety and necessity during the COVID-19 crisis. During this trying time, we want to remain connected, and though we may be distancing ourselves physically to stay safe, we do not need to distance ourselves socially.

This first luncheon will take place on Friday, April 3rd at 2:30 ET, 1:30 CT, and 11:30 PT and will include feature Dr. Arthur Frank. We plan to have lunches every two weeks, and hope to include a featured guest during our future events. We will discuss any and all things, we will talk through fears and hopes, we will look towards the future, and we will remember that we are never truly alone. We will share information about how to join the zoom call soon, so keep your eyes peeled! RSVP for ADAO’s Zoom Lunch to Request a Code

As Seneca said, “We are waves from the same sea, leaves from the same tree, flowers of the same garden.”

This pandemic is scary, hard, confusing, and overwhelming, but we should never forget that there are people to turn to. We hope you will join us this Friday and for many to come. Together, we can overcome this.

In Unity,
