National Cancer Survivors Day is a celebration of life post-cancer diagnosis that is observed on the first Sunday of June each year. This year, in an early celebration of the 29th iteration of this important day, ADAO joined dozens of other survivors on Friday in a Twitter chat dedicated to survivorship.
As the ADAO community well knows, finding strength through community can be extremely therapeutic as we each work through our individual struggles with cancer. It was delightful to see so many inspiring cancer survivors and their support systems sharing their stories, tips for success, and lessons learned.
The #NCSD2016Chat brought together survivors, supporters, physicians and nonprofits to share their answers to 11 questions that were used to guide the chat. Check out what ADAO had to say:
The 29th National Cancer Survivors Day is Sunday, June 5, and the conversation on Twitter will be going throughout the weekend. Join in and share your stories of survivorship by using #NCSD2016.
In unity,
Linda
