What: Building on the phenomenal success of our “Voices on the Wall,” our private Facebook page to offer support to patients and friends, ADAO is launching a new public group page, “Turning Action into Anger.” This page will be an open group page dedicated to education and advocacy, and will provide weekly updates of the latest news, reports, and information to be posted and shared. Our Facebook friends can then use these links to “like”, comment, or share, further spreading these critical issues throughout Facebook.
Goal: Our goal is to leverage our incredible community to spread the word on critical asbestos-related issues and fuel the international ban of asbestos through social media advocacy.
Call to Action: There are three ways you can make a difference:
1) CONNECT: If you have not already, please “friend” our pages: ADAO and GBAN (Global Ban Asbestos Network). This will allow you access to a wealth of information and a wonderfully supportive community of patients, families, and friends.
2) SHARE YOUR CALL TO ACTION: Share your own asbestos-related blogs, news, or information by sending your post and link to Action@adao.org. Posts are limited to 140 characters of text.
WEEKLY CALL TO ACTION: Every Monday, ADAO will post links to the week’s most important information.
