Get ready to run, walk, and raise awareness because registration is now open for the 2025 Miles for Meso 5K race and fundraiser in Alton, Illinois, taking place on Saturday, September 20, in recognition of Mesothelioma Awareness Day. Whether you’re lacing up your sneakers to join us in person or participating from your neighborhood, this event is your chance to take action and show support for those impacted by mesothelioma.

In its 17th year, Miles for Meso is proudly hosted by ADAO’s longtime Platinum Sponsor, Simmons Hanly Conroy LLP, which continues to lead by example in the fight for prevention, awareness, and justice.

This community-driven event is more than a race; it’s a powerful symbol of solidarity. Since 2014, proceeds from the Alton race have benefited the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO), enabling our continued advocacy, education, and policy work. Thanks to your support, we’ve raised critical funds and connected with Warriors, caregivers, and advocates worldwide.

Why Participate?

  • Support a life-saving cause: All donations directly benefit ADAO’s prevention and policy efforts.
  • Run from anywhere: The virtual race option allows you to participate no matter where you live.
  • Get cool race merch: All participants, including virtual runners, will receive an official Miles for Meso race shirt and goodie bag.
  • Honor and remember: Run for a loved one, share their story, and raise awareness in their name.
  • Build momentum: Join the ADAO Ban Asbestos Now Team to connect with others and amplify our impact.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a first-time participant, every step counts. On race day, wear your shirt, take a photo, tag ADAO, and join the conversation using #MilesForMeso on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Register now and join the ADAO Ban Asbestos Now Team!

Together, we move forward, not just in miles, but in action.

See you at the starting line. Let’s fight mesothelioma together.

ADAO will see you on the starting line!
