The Asbestos Awareness Disease Organization (ADAO) is honored to again be attending the 15th Meeting of the International Mesothelioma Interest Group (iMig) virtually from May 7-9 2021.

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to join over 500 delegates from around the world, and discuss up-to-date research, diverse topics of interest, and educational sessions with leading experts. ADAO is a proud supporter of iMig and has been attending, presenting, and exhibiting at iMig conferences for over a decade. Our two organizations share a common goal: understand, cure and prevent mesothelioma.

Every two years the iMig conference, the largest international gathering of clinicians and scientists in the field of mesothelioma, brings together experts dedicated to treating and curing mesothelioma. The conference features groundbreaking workshops, presentations and discussions, while focusing on strengthening collaborative efforts between groups around the world. ADAO has previously attended and presented at eight different iMig conferences including in Chicago, Amsterdam, Kyoto, Boston. United Kingdom, South Africa and Canada.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, last year’s iMIG conference was cancelled, but we are so excited to be back virtually in 2021. ADAO looks forward to presenting “Historical Review of US Asbestos Control Methods: Prevention and Policy to Eliminate Exposure” to discuss the current prevention and policy methods as well as examine the role doctors and healthcare physicians have in asbestos control, prevention, and policy efforts. We will show that the U.S. would benefit from a stronger education system surrounding asbestos and the dangers of asbestos exposure.

Conferences like this are incredibly important, as they allow activists and change makers from around the world to gather together and focus on how to continue the fight in the months and years to come. ADAO is honored to be included and looks forward to connecting with our colleagues at the iMig conference. We are excited to continue the discussions we start at iMig’s conference at ADAO’s annual conference held virtually on September 18th 2021. Registration opens in May, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!

Join the iMig from any country in the world by using #iMig2021 and follow us at @iMig_Meso and @linda_ADAO

Together, we are making change possible.
