Steve & Barbara McQueen

I think he would think it’s wonderful — that he could use his death, his celebrity, as something to help open people’s eyes.  “I’m Steve McQueen. I died of asbestos.” Thousands of people are dying of asbestos. I think he’d be very proud to be part of (ADAO).

Barbara Minty McQueen, widow of Steve McQueen (2012)

Today, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) pays tribute to legendary actor Steve McQueen whose life was tragically cut short by mesothelioma.  In 2012, Steve McQueen was remembered with the ADAO “Warren Zevon Keep Me in Your Heart Tribute Award.”

Please visit the ADAO Interviews playlist this week, as we honor different members of our ADAO community whose lives were affected by mesothelioma.

Together, change is possible.
