2014 AAC DateADAO’s 10th Annual International Asbestos Awareness Conference will be held on April 4 – 6, 2014 in Washington, D.C. at the Crystal Gateway Marriott.  This year’s 10th anniversary conference theme is “Where Knowledge and Action Unite”.

“Every day I live for the moment, as that is all we all have!” writes Lou Williams who has been fighting mesothelioma since the days of our first conference.  She is a powerful spokesperson for joining ADAO in D.C. in 2014. “I believe I have a purpose in life and that is to raise asbestos awareness and if by doing so it saves even one life from this terrible cancer then I will be pleased and will not die in vain!” Williams along with Heather von St. James will be honored with the 2014 Alan Reinstein Award for her commitment to education, advocacy and support to countless patients and families around the world. Janelle Bedel will be honored posthumously with the 2014 Alan Reinstein Award.

If you haven’t been to an ADAO conference before, this is the one not to miss. Renowned experts, global activists, scientists, doctors, patients and families will look back at our accomplishments in ten years and look forward to the next ten years and a future free from asbestos disease.

You can easily view and share the 2013 Conference Video Presentations, Agendas, and Programs online.

The conference includes four powerful, cutting–edge sessions:

  • Medical Advancements
  • Patients & Caregivers
