The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) is honored to present the keynote speech at the 37th annual Environmental Information Association (EIA) Conference & Exhibition, held virtually on September 16 – 18, 2020. 
On September 17, ADAO will be presenting one of the speeches along with Mesothelioma Warrior, Julie Gundlach. The keynote speech titled, “Meso Warrior and Survivor: Pain Endured and Lessons Learned” will dive into the firsthand stories of both a mesothelioma widow and a mesothelioma patient, and will discuss both women’s fight for policy, prevention, as well as what can be done to prevent horrific asbestos caused diseases.
As leaders in prevention, ADAO and EIA have worked together for more than 10 years and we are proud to continue our work together to keep Americans safe from environmental toxins such as asbestos. It is more important now than ever before to share materials and discuss our goals in asbestos prevention and policy, and ADAO looks forward to doing just that at the conference.
EIA is a nonprofit dedicated to improving environmental health and safety. With its beginnings as the National Asbestos Council, EIA has spent 25 years at the forefront in providing the environmental industry with the information needed to remain knowledgeable, responsible, and competitive in the environmental health and safety industry.
Asbestos has still not been banned in the United States, and imports of the deadly carcinogen continue. By partnering for prevention with EIA and other strategic partners, we can expand health and safety knowledge and information distribution. Conferences like this make it possible for us to connect, and ADAO is grateful to be included in this year’s event.
