“The asbestos issue is not a thing of the past. It continues to this day,” said Acting U.S. Surgeon General Boris LushniakADAO Video Asbestos: Still Legal. Still Lethal at the 2014 Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) Conference. Dr. Lushniak’s words open ADAO’s new 80-second video: “Asbestos: Still Legal, Still Lethal. We are very grateful to Heather Von St. James, Lou Williams, and Paul Zygielbaum, and the families of Michael Bradley, Debbie Brewer, and June Breit for allowing us to make their voices heard. Thanks also to ADAO National Spokesperson Jordan Zevon for allowing us to use his father, Warren Zevon’s, song “Keep Me in Your Heart.”

Please keep Mesothelioma Warriors around the world in your heart and make their voices heard by sharing this video with your family, friends, and social networks. Take the challenge – pick three new people to share this with — people who haven’t heard about the asbestos crisis before.  Mesothelioma is a preventable cancer, one of many asbestos-caused diseases which kill an estimate 107,000 people every year.

While promising research continues, prevention remains the only cure. In 80 seconds, you can raise awareness and help saves lives.

Special thanks to Herman Hamilton and Blue Heron Films for their help in bringing this important video to the public.

In unity,
