The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) is thrilled to launch Global Asbestos Awareness Week (GAAW), April 1-7, 2014! The only way to end the deadly legacy of asbestos is through education and awareness to prevent exposure, policy to ban asbestos, and a cure for asbestos-related diseases.
Today, on Day One of GAAW, I’d like to share the latest facts and stats about asbestos, as well as a history of mining, manufacturing, and commerce, information about early detection and prevention all in our NEW infographic below, Asbestos: Legal and Lethal in the USA. For 10 years, people have asked me – what is asbestos, information about early warning symptoms and high risk occupations, and most importantly, how to prevent exposure.
All week long, I encourage you to share each day’s GAAW content with your friends, family and colleagues.
