House MarkUp (1)

Over the last eight weeks, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) has remained a stakeholder passionately advocating on behalf of asbestos victims’ and American citizens’ rights in Congress.  On Thursday, May 14, 2015, the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee will hold two markups: one on the TSCA Modernization Act Discussion Draft and one on the Furthering Asbestos Claim Transparency (FACT) Act (H.R. 526).  For  more information on ADAO’s legislative positions on all seven bills, read our legislative overview here.

ADAO opposes the FACT Act.  We remain a stakeholder at the table to improve the TSCA Modernization Act of 2015.

As a leader in prevention, ADAO needs your help and voice in Washington, D.C.!  Sign the Real TSCA Reform Petition, share the updated ADAO Legislative Positions infographic, and share the Message to President Obama Video.

Please be sure to watch and share our Message to President Obama: BAN ASBESTOS NOW – Video! This video was made at the 11th Annual International Asbestos Awareness Conference and features five asbestos experts from the United States, Brazil, Finland, the Netherlands, and Australia, all giving compelling reasons to President Obama on why the U.S. should ban asbestos immediately.

Thank you for your dedication and support!

Together, change is possible.
