Donate to ADAO, an independent nonprofit, dedicated to preventing asbestos exposure to eliminate all asbestos-caused diseases

ADAO survives and thrives because of generous donations from our supporters, loved ones, community members, organizations, and other nonprofits. As a small and independent organization, every single donation, large or small, matters in our fight to ban asbestos once and for all in the United States.

We are grateful to everyone who has and continues to donate to ADAO, especially during the aftermath of the COVID pandemic. We are just days away from Giving Tuesday on November 29th where you can donate and show your support for ADAO.

ADAO continues to work on our dual track strategy, both legislative and legal, to ban asbestos, as well as expanding our education, advocacy, and community building efforts to prevent asbestos exposure to eliminate all asbestos-caused diseases. Being fiscally sound, we only spent approximately 9% of funds on operating expenses. The rest of our funds go directly toward education, prevention, and advocacy initiatives. Our accomplishments are significant, proving collective activism is powerful and productive. Not only did we legally challenge EPA in the courtroom on various occasions and win, setting new precedents when it comes to asbestos reporting, but we also worked with Congress to reintroduce the Alan Reinstein Ban Asbestos Now (ARBAN) Act of 2022. We held our yearly conference this September, with hundreds of people joining us around the world, and we’ve spoken at schools, global seminars, and shared educational material with numerous partners and media outlets.

Our small but powerful organization dedicates most of its time to furthering our important education and advocacy efforts. This leaves very little time for development and fundraising. That’s why we need your support today and throughout the holiday season.

With your support, we work with other environmental groups, members of Congress, state governments, and world health leaders to raise awareness, expand prevention, and support policy for a cure and a ban. Your donation will fund impactful, life-saving work. I hope you’ll join and donate on behalf of yourself, or a loved one. You have proven that together change is possible.
