Register for the 10th Annual Miles for Meso 5k Race and 3k Walk/Fun-Run!

Honor or Remember a Mesothelioma Warrior with a Tribute Bib

Posted on June 30, 2018

Get ready–it’s almost time for the 10th Annual Miles for Meso 5K Race and 3K Walk/Fun-Run! If you’ll be in Alton, IL on September 22, this race is the place to be. You can also join the race virtually: check here to see how!

ADAO has built a signature program as part of the race to honor Mesothelioma Warriors. During the past four years, more than 200 racers have worn Warrior tribute bibs. One of the most powerful parts of the race each year is when runners and walkers at the Alton event dedicate their race in honor or loving memory to a Warrior by wearing a personalized tribute bib. If you would like to submit a Warrior name so a runner can wear a Warrior tribute bib of you or your loved one, click here. Name submission deadline is Sept. 7, 2018.

In addition to the Warrior Tribute Bib program, ADAO will also be producing our 2018 Mesothelioma Warrior Memorial Video in loving memory of those who have lost their lives. If you would like a loved one included in our 2018 Warrior Memorial Video, click here to submit their name.

This is the 10th year Simmons, Hanly, Conroy LLC will be putting on this fabulous event. This annual event is one of the yearly highlights for our Mesothelioma Warrior community. It brings about 1,000 people together in a fun, healthy way, and even creates ways to connect digitally for those who can’t make it to the race in person. And of course, it raises mesothelioma awareness and funds for the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO). Since 2014, ADAO has been the designated beneficiary for the Miles for Meso race in Alton which has raised $130,000.

All proceeds from the Miles for Meso event will go directly to ADAO’s asbestos awareness, advocacy, community support, and education efforts. Your contributions are the life force behind ADAO’s work and enable the largest asbestos victims’ advocacy group in the U.S. to continue pushing for change and public health protection!

Together we are making change happen.
