Honorees and Keynote Speakers for the 18th Annual International Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference Announced
The annual conference “Exploring the Intersection of Art, Advocacy, and Academia” will be held in Washington, D.C. September 9, 2023

WASHINGTON, DC – The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO), an independent nonprofit dedicated to preventing asbestos exposure through education, advocacy, and community initiatives, today announced the honorees and keynote speakers for its 18th Annual International Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference, “Exploring the Intersection of Art, Advocacy, and Academia,” who will be recognized at a ceremony on September 9, 2023, in Washington, D.C.
These seven distinguished organizations and individuals will be recognized for their outstanding efforts to protect public health, advocate for a ban on asbestos imports and usage, or excellent investigative journalism.

The ADAO academic conference is the only annual conference dedicated solely to preventing asbestos exposure and eliminating asbestos-caused diseases.
